Turtles open just a couple of weeks ago in Putnam, CT. It bills itself as "An Authentic Southern California-Style Taco Shop", and the food is fresh, cheap and very tasty.
Putnam now has three great restaurants: Pyzzz for pizza, Grandaddy's for BBQ and Turtles for Tacos. Pretty good for a small town.
I ate there recently. The food was amazing.
ReplyDeleteYes! I love this place. We've waited a long time for decent mexican in this area. I have tried the chorizo taco and the 5 grilled skirt steak taquitos. Everything I'd had there has been excellent. This is not saucy, goopy mexican, but a light and vegetal, more authentic version. Avoid the place only if you have an aversion to cilantro.
